The next destination on our agenda was St. John's Church Kolkata and the church is a place where the environment is very peaceful on all occasions. Making trvel plans is not an issue because I have the best travel app in my phone. We reached the place and decided to take a walk around the place before getting inside the church to offer prayers. The church grounds had many memorials out of which most of them were built during the British rule and had historical importance.
The interesting monuments among many are the “Black Hole of Calcutta”, which was built in the memory of people who were captured and brutally kept in a small cell. Eventually, most of them collapsed while a few of them escaped. This story is not approved by the historians and so the significance of the monument is compromised. Another such memorial was the “Second Rohilla War”, which was made to honor the treaty that was signed after a war between two clans in the past with British backing the clan who won the war eventually.

The green area around the place also had a few graves of a few important people of that particular time. After a good walk in the park around with friends and seeing all the monuments and knowing their historical importance in brief through the boards, we decided to get inside so as to offer prayers to the God.
The church was beautifully designed from inside and the simplicity behind the design was the trick to its beauty. Huge windows with beautiful colored glasses were a great décor and in front of us was the holy sign and on one side being a great painting of the “Last Supper”. The place was beautifully built and decorated and it was very peaceful inside. We were quite excited and took a seat on the bench and closed our eyes with hands folded to offer prayers to the almighty for a good time and got lost in the serenity of the place.
After offering prayers and having a good look around, we moved on from St. John's Church Kolkata ahead to our next destination with loads of excitement on our minds and happiness in heart.
