When we reached the place, we were awe-struck with the architectural beauty of the place. The build was quite fascinating and we also learnt that when it was constructed back in the start of 20th century, the cost covered to build it was around a million Indian currencies, which in present day would be a huge amount if we take into the rate of increase of the money factor. Back to the topic where I was speaking about the mosque, I have to say that Islamic architecture of all the buildings I have ever come across are mind-blowing and this was one of them and was taking the quality of architecture a step ahead.
We spent a good deal of time at Nakhoda Mosque Kolkata and had a heartwarming satisfaction. Since there were a few more places to go, we decided to move and take a sneak peak at the Christian community.
