KBR Park is named after the former Chief Minister of the state Mr Kasu Brahmananda Reddy. The Park was established in 1994 and is spread in an area of more than 140 hectares. The park is a very important place for a city like Hyderabad which is full of concrete and steel structures. The time spent while taking a stroll in the lush green area of the Park is surely going to refresh everyone.
The time that we had spent in Hyderabad so far was very satisfying. We not only visited the historic places but also the forts of the city. This time we headed for another location in the city which is known by the name of KBR National Park and is one of the important tourist spot of the city. The main attraction of the Park is the hundreds of species of Plants which are preserved there. They range from herbs to climbers. I took a lot of pictures of some of the rare variety of plants and herbs which are rarely found in Agra. Apart from the varieties of plants there are lot of birds’ species which are found in the park. There are close to 20 reptiles and mammals which are housed in the Park. The cool and fresh atmosphere of the place can be felt as soon as one enters the main area of the park. It is a big park which has a lot in it for all the age groups. People can come to the park to escape the hot and humid weather of the city. The cleanliness maintained inside the park speaks a lot about the Park’s maintenance and well looked after it is. The trip to this Park is a good escape from the noise and maddening crowd of the city. One can find silence and some moments of solitude within the area of the Park. Once we were done with the visit to the KBR Park we headed for our next destination which was the Hussain Sagar Lake. The Lake is the jewel of Hyderabad and one of the most popular attractions of the city.

Taj Banjara Hyderabad : It was an enchanting evening at Taj Banjara. The architecture of the place, the delicious foods and the serene environment made our day very special. We were 20 of us and more than food, it was our voice that echoed everywhere in the hotel. Quite an amazing evening and something that stays as a beautiful memory.
The visit to the historic Charminar was truly memorable. The shopping experience at the nearby streets and the local street food made the day wonderful. After this visit we headed to another prominent attraction of the city which was the Golconda Fort. The fort is located on the western outskirts of the city and looks like a little kingdom in itself. When we reached the fort its view from outside was simply majestic. The gigantic walls of the fort, its huge rustic gates and the ruins are reminiscent of the bygone era. The fort was centre of the diamond trade in the world and as a result expensive, valuable gems like Kohinoor and Daryainoor were excavated from the areas near Golkonda. The most astounding part of the fort is its 20 feet high walls and huge gates which captures the eye and imaginations of one and all. There are some key attractions inside the fort which one should look for when they visit it. Fateh Darwaza or the gateway of Victory is a prime attraction spot inside the prises of the fort. As one moves inside the fort he cannot stop but admire the domed apartments, the majestic halls, temples, mosques and the Royal stables which are present in the fort complex. The gardens inside the fort are more than 400 years old. The hiking experience is very good inside the fort so it is advised that people wear some sturdy shoes while visiting the fort. We also attended the light and sound show in the evening which tells the tale of the fort and the city of Hyderabad. Its history is very well narrated through the light and sound effects. It is another gem of the city which should be visited by one and all that travel to Hyderabad.
When we were done with the visit to the city we left for another prominent attraction of Hyderabad which was the KBR National Park. KBS Park is a famous geological park of the city which houses many rare birds, flowers and animals found in the different parts of the country. Birla Mandir Hyderabad : There are things that I call it best and meditation is one of those best things. At the Birla Mandir in Hyderabad, the breathtaking beauty of the temple and the calmness prevailing the premises was ideal for me to spend at least half an hour meditating. It was the best part of the trip…
Our last trip to the Chowmahalla Palace was a very good experience. The heritage of the city is truly reflected by the grandeur of the Palace. The next which we visited in the city was one of the most historic and iconic sites which defines Hyderabad, the Charminar. Charminar is the most popular attraction of the city and the visit to Hyderabad is incomplete without visiting Charminar. Charminar is the architectural marvel of Hyderabad and a fine example of Islamic architecture. It has four beautiful minartes which open into four different streets. One can go to the upper floor of the Minar and take a panoramic view of the city. The surrounding view of the Mecca Masjid is very mesmerizing from the Charminar. The edifice is truly a crown of the city. The place was very overcrowded. There are many public transports available to reach the spot and it is advised not to go there taking your own personal vehicle as parking spot is not there. The sad part of this beautiful structure is that there are many constructions which are happening in the surrounding places which make Charminar look polluted and its grace is surely evading. The streets adjoining the Charminar are also worth a visit. One can do a little shopping as the shops sell pearls and other souvenirs at the nearby Pather Gatti. Those who want to have a taste of a real Hyderabadi Biryani can taste it in the Laad bazaar adjacent to Charminar. One can also visit the Bhagya Laxmi Temple which is an important temple of the city just in front of the Charminar.
The place is certainly worth a visit once. The visit to the Charminar should be avoided on weekends as it gets too overcrowded. It is certainly one of the most iconic and prominent structures in the country at par with the beauty of India Gate of New Delhi and Gateway of India at Mumbai. Once we were done with the visit to Charminar we headed for our next place which was another prominent fort in the city known as Golconda Fort. After visiting the Paigah tombs of Hyderabad I was in the mood to visit another such place of historic significance and architectural splendour. I was truly amazed by the fine carvings and perfect blend of elegance with precision in the architectural style of the tombs. So the next destination that I visited in the city of pearls was the Chowmahalla Palace. This renowned princely palace is an epitome of beauty and grandeur. I was quite eager to witness the architectural delight by my own eyes. So I set foot towards this famous tourist attraction in Hyderabad. Located at Khilwat in Motigalli region of Hyderabad the royal monument is easily commutable from all nooks and corners of the city via public transport. A number of buses and cabs offer connectivity to this place with all parts of Hyderabad. You can visit the Chowmahalla Palace from 10 am to 5 pm on all days of the week excluding Fridays. The place also remains closed for public on all national holidays. The entry fee inside the vicinity is very nominal. For Indians the entry fee is Rs 40 and for foreign tourists the palace authorities charge an entry fee of Rs 150. The grand palace was built by the Asaf Jahi dynasty of Hyderabad and was built with the objective to welcome and attend to royal guests or visitors. The site also lies in proximity to prominent attractions such as the Charminar and the Laad Bazaar. The palace has enormous cultural and architectural significance as it draws historians as well as tourists from all parts of India as well as abroad. The culture of the Nawabs of Hyderabad id intertwined with the architectural style of the palace. Each and every section of the palace has been so intricately designed that it can inspire architects from all parts of the world. The architectural style of Chowmahalla Palace shows influences from a number of cultures. The Northern and Southern plush courtyards of the palace are adorned with lavish fountains and beautiful gardens. The entire compound comprises of four palaces namely Afzal Mahal, Aftab Mahal, Tahniyat Mahal and the Mahtab Mahal.
Secunderabad Clock Tower Hyderabad : There is something about this Clock Tower at Hyderabad that reminds me about Great Britain. I loved the color combination; grey and white. It looked very elegant from outside and a place to even relax yourself, stretch, walk or even go for a jogging! As for me, I spent time taking some stills of this tower.
I was very excited to reach my hotel and then to set out for exploring all the prominent tourist attractions of Hyderabad. As I reached the Hyderabad airport there was already my cab waiting to take me to the hotel that I would be accommodating in. After comparing all the available hotels and resorts in Hyderabad I finally booked my accommodation at the Golkonda Resort and Spa. The hotel website is quite user friendly and well – structured hence it took me not more than a couple of minutes to make my reservation in the hotel. I was quite impressed by the services offered by this luxurious hotel and given the price I would say it is worth spending. The hotel staffs are very well mannered, professional and helpful. As I entered the hotel I was warmly welcomed by the staff and then guided to my room by an attendant after I had completed the formalities for check – in. The Golkonda resort and spa Hyderabad is well known for its culture of hospitality and from the very beginning I was feeling at home in this hotel. Located at Sagar Mahal complex Gandipet this five star property has 44 rooms and suites to accommodate tourists from all parts of the world. The check – in time for the hotel is 13:00 hours and you need to check – out at 12:00 hours the next day. The hotel offers all the modern amenities to its guests to make their stay a memorable experience. A spa to rejuvenate the body and mind, beauty salon, well – equipped conference rooms, well furnished and air conditioned rooms are some of the facilities offered by the Golkonda resort. The resort and spa offers three types of accommodations to its guests namely the Garden Villa, Green Woods Villa and the Palm Villa. The in – house lounge of the hotel is called the Ebony lounge. You can visit this lounge for lip smacking snacks and beverages. There is also a cafe inside the resort that is named as the Randezvous. The multi – cuisine restaurant of the resort is known as the Lighthouse.
Hyderabad International Convention Center : Hyderabad has actually revitalized and I can easily say that it getting westernized day by day. The International Convention Center stands as a proof to this statement. Though I dint spend much time around here, the modish architecture absolutely gave me an idea for the next project I am undertaking in this fast growing city.
