Hello friends. This is a series of blog postings which I have written to share with all of you about my trip to Assam from Agra. After a long gap I got some time off from my busy schedule so I decided to plan a trip to some place which was unexplored by me till now. There were many places in the list but I finally shortlisted Assam. I planned this trip with a few friends of mine and all the planning about the travel was undertaken by me.
We chose to travel by air to Assam. There are many modes of travel available to visit but travelling by air is one of the shortest and best ways to save time. We had booked an Air India airlines flight from New Delhi to Guwahati for this. To reach New Delhi from Agra there are many options but the best and most comfortable is by Volvo AC bus which are run by many companies.
We booked seats in the UPSRTC bus which leaves for New Delhi at 6 AM in the morning and reaches Delhi in 3 hours. The bus ride from Agra to Delhi is a superfast travel on the beautiful Delhi Agra Yamuna Expressway. This was the best and most comfortable option of travel in the Agra Guwahati route. We reached the Indira Gandhi International Airport by 11:30 AM and our flight was due in an hour. The check in formalities was already done by us.
The excitement for the trip was building in all of us and we decided about a few places to visit in Assam already. The flight took off on time and after a 2:30 hour direct flight we landed at the Gopinath Bordoloi International airport at Guwahati. The weather in Assam was very cool and it refreshed us all. We could predict the exciting days about to begin.
After checking out our baggage we headed straight to our hotel where we changed and had our lunch. We were now ready to begin our travel in the state of Assam. The first place which we visited here was HayagrivaMadhava Temple.
