The Ramoji film city is a truly an exotic and full of fun place to be. This amusement park is one of the best recreational spots I have visited till date. The film memorabilia and props from various movies of the Indian film industry is a treat for film enthusiasts. The food and beverage offered in the complex are also lip smacking. The place is full of adventure and awesomeness. I really loved being here. Hereafter it was time for me to peep back in time and visit a famed historic monument in Hyderabad. So I set foot towards the Paigah Tombs in Hyderabad.
This is one of the most popular sites for history lovers and also for the researchers who intend to explore more about the glorious past of the state. Located at Santosh nagar the architectural delight attracts tourists from all corners of the world. The tombs are located at a mere distance of 10 kilometres from the city centre and are easily accessible from all corners of Hyderabad via public commutes such as buses, cabs and autos.

Being an architect the structure and architectural style of any monument draws my interest. The tombs display excellence in craftsmanship and the toil that these workers might have taken to acquire such detail and precision in building these structures. The carvings engraved on marble that can be seen in the construction of the tombs are just marvellous.
Historically these tombs were erected in honour of the Paigah noble families of Hyderabad. This noble family had close relations with the Nizams of Hyderabad. The Paigah family played a dominant role in the governance of the city as the duties of vigilance and security of the society rested on their shoulders. Hence the Paigah tombs are a symbol of respect to this noble family.

The nobles whose tombs are erected here are namely Asman Jah, Viqar – ul – Umara and Shams – ul – Umara. The main entrance of the tombs showcases an ancient iron plaque which is remembrance of the Paigah heritage. I really had a great time admiring the elegance and beauty of the tombs and was hoping to visit many more such historic treasures in the days to come.
