I have visited many places, sometimes for my work and sometimes due to my desire to explore new places. I like visiting new places as it obviously pulls one out of the routine work and pressure, offers a variety of cuisines, new locations, and most importantly, new markets to go shopping.
Ahmedabad is a major city in Gujarat. It is an astonishing metropolis and holds a long and rich history. The city possesses many notable buildings, exceptional museums, fine restaurants and magnificent night markets. What attracts the tourists most about Ahmedabad is its lavish culture. The colorful tradition and culture that is accentuated during festivals and the melodious music and ‘garba dance’ that is practiced during ’navratries’ are famous all over the world.
The old city of Ahmedabad is sited on the eastern side of the Sabarmati River and was once bordered by a 10 km-long wall, of which only little is remained now. The new city is conveniently established on the west side of the river. With the desire to explore most of the spots of the city, I booked my tickets for Ahmedabad.
